Silk scarves for Scrap Books

When we begin to scrap book and look for different fabric types to add we think of all the pretty colors and the patterns more so the texture. We like the feel of certain things and we dislike the feel of other things. But with silk we can’t deny the soft, sensual, yet comfortable and luxurious feel. Silk is a fabric with a texture that can be added to anything whether it’s your clothing o if it is your curtains or even your favorite pillow. So why not use it within your scrap books.

Using old scraps from fabric is generally the whole idea of making a scrap book and it allows for creativity and you to put in it whatever you feel is right. Scrap booking is a past time and also makes for good conversation if you just want to bring a friend over to remind them of the memories or you just want to get all of you things cleaned out. But the whole point is to make the scrap book look exceptionally nice showing all your past time and memories. So with different sticker, buttons, scraps of paper in different shapes: hearts,  circles, stars and etc. you can also add fabric that are the shapes or even have the stickers on the fabric. You can also use silk shawls and scarves that were damaged; by using the section that isn’t damaged or is you can add what you want to your scrap book. You can also make do with hand painted silk scarves and shawls.

Using hand painted silk shawls and scarves may sound like a bit much but not if the scarf you have is no longer used or if you feel like purchasing one. Silk scarves are not as expensive as they sound though they sound luxurious and costly it all depends on where you go online or what stores you visit. And if you feel like the thought of silk scarves and shawls in a scrap book is bit too much you can also find similar fabric at your local fabric stores or somewhere online where fabric can be sold starting at fifty cent a yard. But with hand painted silk scarves you can make your scrap book look even more extravagant with extra colors and designs.
