First dates, weddings and anniversaries are, for women at least, some of the most memorable occasions in our lives, along with prom nights, graduation parties and so on. These are also the occasions when we put enormous care and effort into choosing what to wear and want to look at our most elegant and sophisticated. They are all also occasions when sumptuous handmade silk scarves and shawls are commonly used as a stunning pièce de résistance to top off the perfect outfit and, while we may not be able to hold on to the rest of the outfit forever more, the scarf or shawl can be kept as the perfect souvenir.
