Stereotypical though it may be, pink is truly the one color most associated with the feminine. The colors link various elements of what is considered truly female. Baby pink and young girls, pink like cotton candy and of course, romantic love. Even in the Victorian language of flowers pink was associated with the feminine. A pink carnation, for example, means ‘I will never forget you.’ While red has darker connotations, even the deeper shades of pink escape them. Passion may be associated with hot fuchsia or magenta pink, but it never falls outside of the boundaries of love and romance.
Pink has an advantage over many colors. It is suitable to most complexions and colorings. For those with blonde hair and mid-brown tresses, dusky and baby pink are fabulously complementary. If you have dark hair and skin, you can always rely on really hot pinks to make you appear absolutely outstanding. And pin has another point in its favor. Pink generally goes well with pink. Consider these combinations: fuchsia pink and baby pink, raspberry or dusky pink and baby pink. Other colors make great combinations, including beige and gray. In fact pink and grey together look both stylish and graceful. Yet, no one can argue against the perfection of a black outfit with pink, any shade of pink, accessories. The same is applicable with certain hues of green including a rich olive green. Lately, people have set aside the taboo for combining pink and red. It makes a very bold statement.
While there are some pink ladies, very few women feel comfortable arrayed all in this color. It reeks of too much femininity. As a result, they confine themselves to a few pink accessories. Some go no further than a pink sweater, shoes, purse or jewelry. Another way to enjoy the color without being swamped in a “Barbie moment,” is to introduce it subtly in the form of a superbly soft and sensual silk scarf. The mixture of the ultra-light material and the shade are enough to introduce simply the right quantity of femininity.
The shades of pink available in silk scarves vary as do the designs. The widest range found among the hand painted silk scarves and shawls are from online specialist suppliers. The product they offer is the best available featuring inimitable patterns created by hand painstakingly. Using traditional methods the talented artisan introduces both the color and the design. The result is any and everything – from floral to abstract images to more modern checks and stripes in every hue of pink possible.
