Okay so it’s freezing outside. Some places it’s snowing others there is rain and of course we see the sun but the warmth seems o so far away. And for those of you who have beaten the cold and are living some place warm and exotic, lucky you. But for those of us aren’t here we are left to fend for ourselves tackle some of these great holiday prices and keep warm.
We might only be prepared to admit it to our best friends, but there are times when we women really, really need to stand out as being the most stunningly attractive woman in the room, and the first time you see your ex after he has dumped you or the first time you know you are going to see him with his new girlfriend or wife are two perfect examples.
While summer might not at first appear to be the most obvious time to be thinking about scarves, in fact in many ways it is the perfect season for putting fabulous hand painted silk scarves to work. These gorgeous wearable works of art with their intense colors and exquisite unique designs can be put to great use in all kinds of different summer situations, and here are just a few ideas to get you started.
Often, when it comes to choosing birthday presents for our friends and family members, it can be tempting to select something which is seasonal according to the time of year that they were born. We might, for example, select a warm item of clothing for a winter birthday or a strappy little number for a summer one. The only problem with this, of course, is that we have invested our money in something which will only get seasonal use.
When it comes to a meal out at a fancy restaurant, an evening at the theatre or even a night out at our favorite night club, we women usually have a pretty good idea of what to wear. Knowing what to put on when we are invited to someone’s home for an evening’s entertainment such as a dinner party, however, can leave us feeling a little more uncertain. Even when we are the ones doing the entertaining, the dress code can still feel like a bit of a dilemma.
The office Christmas party must surely have been responsible over the years for more damaged and destroyed reputations than any single other event. Maybe it is all those emotions which have been pent up throughout the course of the year and simply have to be expressed before the New Year comes over the horizon, or perhaps it is simply the only opportunity to be entertained at the company’s expense in the course of each twelve months, but whichever is the case, all too often it sees ordinarily respectable individuals acting totally out of character.
Men might laugh at us, or even despair of us, when we open up our overstuffed closets and declare that we cannot find a thing to wear, but come on ladies, we are not just angling for permission to buy something new, are we? Sometimes our wardrobes just feel as though they are stuck in a rut, as though everything has been worn a thousand times before and looks the same every time we put it on.
Beauty, of course, comes in many forms, but when you look at many of the women who are generally considered to be amongst the most beautiful in the world, often what they have in common is a certain exoticism. In some, this quality comes from their physical features such as their skin coloring or the shape and color of their eyes, whilst in others it is their bodily shape or height which gives this effect. For many, however, it is their style of dress which provides that unmistakable sultriness which is very much associated with exotic cultures.
Choosing what to wear at the height of the four seasons does not generally cause most women too many problems. With the odd exception, we usually know what to expect from the weather and so can choose our wardrobe accordingly. When it gets trickier though, is during those awkward transitions from winter into spring, spring into summer, summer into fall and fall into winter. From one day to the next we can find ourselves being tossed back and forth from one season to another and either digging through a collection of clothes which has already been stored away in preparation for the coming months, or being woefully under or overdressed.
Hand painted silk scarves and hand dyed silk shawls are made using a process which is centuries old and draws on the skills and talents of true artists. Unlike factory-produced accessories, they feature designs which are totally unique and vibrantly colorful and not an inch of the gloriously silky texture of the 100% pure silk is compromised in their production. With a look of such quality and exquisite elegance, it would be hard to think of a woman who would not welcome one into her life and wear it endlessly, so if you are looking for that special something for a woman you know, here are six people who are bound to appreciate one.
