Money doesn’t grow on trees and even though we wish it would it becomes difficult to recreate some of the styles that we see on some of the hottest celebs. Starlets like Britney Spears, Natalie Portman, Anna Paquin, Sandra Bulluck, Kate Hudson, Taylor Swift and many more dive into their own little fashion world where teens become overwhelmed of what to choose when they go shopping. But what if you didn’t have to go shopping all the time? What if you can look in your very own closet and create new shirt or blouse or even a shawl or scarf? Although we can sometimes think that sewing and creating our own projects can be tedious and times so not worth it especially if you are not an aspiring fashion designer or anything of the sort. But you can be surprised and what you can create for a rainy day, which by the way may come up since summer is sadly but surely leaving us. Take this opportunity to create the best out of what you have in your very own home or in your local department store to dress for less and be able to drape yourself in garments such as silk shawls and scarves for a very cheap price.
Silk is one of the main attractions for all season. So it is no surprise that starlets and the famous alike are caught wrapped in the luxury of silk scarves and shawls. Silk has such an ancient history that most would think its meant for those women of the upper class. But in actuality silk can be worn everyday by anyone even young girls. It is no longer classified as just the material worn on the red carpet, to balls, to upper class dinner parties or even to just be worn by geisha’s with their silk kimonos. Silk is a material that encourages the embracement by all women of all ages. Women and silk shawls go together just like us and our shoes.
With money shortages throughout, we can’t constantly keep purchasing clothing when we feel like it. Even for those of us that are shopaholics looking for a good bargain but you can go to school and the work place with a few healthy wardrobe tips that will cost you almost nothing. You don’t have to buy all the designer bags and shoes to be gorgeous or feel it. The women we see on shows such as the Desperate House Wives, Sex and the City, True Blood and more have looks that we ourselves can achieve without coming out of your pockets and regretting the dent in our bank accounts. And you’ll be surprised at how many other celebrities are good and saving money and shopping for less by using these same tips and not grow tiresome of their wardrobe.
The more you can save your money the happier you can be. We don’t ever think about spending more money than we need on necessities and when I comes to certain clothes and styles that we want to go for its close to impossible that we can ever find something similar or even find that particular item at a good price. Sometimes having the money and paying for that over priced jacket and that over priced bag makes us feel like we’ve really accomplished something we have that desired item now hanging in our closet and we did not want a knock off to the true and real thing. And having is just fine. But when you can buy your favorite items for cheaper or find new and great items for a great price you can be just as happy and satisfied with the results and the quality of your product.
Shawls are seen as cover ups and garments to keep you warm but this is a common misconception in the fashion world. Of course shawls can be used to keep you warm but it all depends on the fabric. Fashion trends that are set in the celebrity world and among the rich and famous but the same fashion trends can be applied to you even if you don’t have the funds to supply designer clothes it all depends on the fabric and the material your garment is made out of and nothing more, especially not the price.
Open up your closet and what do you see? Is it full of plain-colored business suits and equally plain-colored cocktail dresses? If so, then you are certainly not alone because a great many women tend to play it safe when it comes to patterns. One of the main reasons for this has to do with cost versus functionality. While plain-colored outfits can be mixed and matched to create numerous different combinations and looks, patterned clothing of course will not work well with everything else in your closet.
