Sarah Jessica Parker is most notable for her role as Carrie Bradshaw on Sex and the City the television show and the hit feature film Sex in the City, but she is also known for her fashion sense and charm and ability to wear what she wants and be talked about in the media and still continue on in her own world. Most times what she wears or what any celebrity wears is mimicked by adoring fans and sometimes whenever possible we try to find these exact clothing items it can be near impossible. But there are ways to find and shop and still get the style you’re looking for in the styles idolized by Sarah Jessica Parker. The movies and television shows that are being viewed can be very influencing and sometime give us the idea that we need to be rich and famous to acquire these clothes, or shoes, or designer bags when that is not necessarily true. Items such as fine handmade silk use to be rare and sought after all over the world and where to be worn during the most fanciful affairs, and now they are worn as the most fashionable item and added to casual apparel.
Sarongs have been used by men and women in many different cultures around the world for centuries. Their simplicity and versatility, especially in very hot countries, makes them ideal both in terms of keeping cool and in terms of ease of wear for all kinds of different occasions.
Every bride wants her day to be unique, but with so many millions of weddings taking place around the world every week, trying to think of ideas which will make her day stand out can be tricky. Whether you yearn for the traditional white wedding with the Cinderella ball gown and flowing bridesmaids dresses or prefer your occasion to be more funky and modern though, the addition of exquisite hand painted silk scarves or hand dyed shawls can make a statement which screams class, elegance and, most importantly, uniqueness.
Stars like Kate Hudson can truly do no wrong when it comes to the fashion world. She’s been seen in some of our favorite romantic movies majority of them co-starring Matthew Mcconaughey in movies such as Fools Gold and How to lose a guy in 10 Days. But what if you can look like a star using only a few items in 10 different ways?
Once the summer is out, teenagers dread the idea of going back to school and starting another life. It is almost equivalent to getting your teeth snatched out. It’s loathed and a bitter subject yet the bright side of going back to school is looking into new fashion ideas and even tapping into some of the stylist tips and ideas on television. Of course there is that gold rule when you are young, “Don’t be a copy cat,” but whose says it’s copying when you make it your own. Millions of teenagers and young adults look to television icons to fulfill the dressing and apparel ideas. Who said you had to be a girl to look at the fads and up and coming clothing lines before going back to school. It is one of the biggest rages.
Some of the hottest names in the showbiz drape themselves in expensive jewelry and luxurious clothing and even the most glamorous foot wear known to any man or woman’s eyes. But not always do we look to celebrities for the hottest “it” item but we look to fashion designers and models. Sometimes we look and are completely unaware. Every designer has their own popularity according to their specialty payless even has designers set to them for sleek and delicate styles. So as the summer ends and we’re all filing back from our vacation we know that it’s a pressing issue to get ready for school or going back to work if we took that extended vacation or opening up the business again. But to do this we don’t need to shop and buy the finest of the finest bought by the rich and famous one would simply need a good eye to search a good department store and even a good eye and touch for fabric.
Modern day men and women are not the only ones who like to adorn their clothing with stunning colors and designs. In fact, for almost as long as humans have been wearing clothes they have chosen to decorate them with colorful and individualistic patterns. The beautiful art of painting on silk is a tradition which goes back for centuries, but even today there are still craftsmen and women who produce the most exquisite works of art using silk as their medium to create a whole range of clothing and accessories.
Check out your mother’s or your grandmother’s closet and you are almost certain to find at least one silk scarf or shawl. These beautiful accessories have been around for years and have served elegant women all around the world extremely well throughout the ages. Far from being the preserve of those over the age of forty, however, they are the young, trendy woman’s best friend too. Whether you are looking to create the ultimate in today’s shabby chic style or want to stand out as the most desirable and yet untouchable girl in the room, then choosing a stunning handmade silk scarf or shawl could not be a better investment.
As women our closets could be filled with unnecessary clothes or shoes or whatever we store but there is one thing we can agree with in having a closet is that it’s never bad to have too much space. And if we don’t have the space to put our prized possessions it becomes an immediate need to find storage or we’d have to go through all of those clothes to decide what’s going and what’s staying. We call this spring cleaning. And when we first look at our shoes we don’t see them as being so many but when they’re counted it’s a different story. Unfortunately we end up giving them away or trashing items that we shouldn’t be holding on to any longer and then we have more space but is it truly bad thing to throw or give some items such as bridesmaid dresses.
As the summer comes to the new television shows roll in with excitement and new fashion. It’s common to watch television now and notice the unique style of the cast members or what accessories or even their hairstyles. We get use to seeing them and wonder how or where we can get these items. Majority of the time we met with high priced websites that ask far more than our check books and credit card can handle for a costume jewelry set, but there are alternatives and sometimes we find them while other times we’re stuck watching eBay for new items and constantly searching for the item we so desperately want.
